Dr. Vijay B. Venkatesh joined North County Radiology Associates in 2024. After completing his undergraduate education at University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Venkatesh obtained his MD from the State University of New York Upstate Medical University College of Medicine in 2000. He completed a residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Stony Brook University Hospital and a fellowship in Neuroradiology at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York. He is certified in Diagnostic Radiology by the American Board of Radiology. While accomplished in all areas of radiology, Dr. Venkatesh has a Certification of Added Qualifications in Neuroradiology from the American Board of Radiology and has special interest in Neuroradiology and Head/Neck imaging, Musculoskeletal MRI, and Cardiac Coronary CT angiography. He has also previously served as Radiation Safety Officer and Chair on the Radiation Safety Committee as well as Chief of Radiology at Sharp Grossmont Hospital. He is a past President of the San Diego Radiological Society and has been voted one of San Diego’s Top Docs for 9 years. Dr. Venkatesh successfully served as President and CEO of his previous Radiology private practice before deciding to join North County Radiology Associates.
