Dr. Gooding joined North County Radiology in 1999. Prior to that, Dr. Gooding was Chief of Interventional Radiology at Scripps Hospital in Chula Vista. He is Board Certified in Diagnostic Radiology with a Certificate of Added Qualification in Vascular and Interventional Radiology Dr. Gooding earned a degree in History from the University of California Berkeley, and a MD degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, DC. He completed his Internship in Internal Medicine, Residency and Chief Residency in Diagnostic Radiology and Fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at the University of California San Diego Medical Center. Dr. Gooding has served as Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of California, San Diego, and Veterans Administration Medical Center.
He is a Distinguished Reviewer for Journal of Vascular and Interventional Radiology, and a consultant for the California Medical Board. Dr. Gooding is actively involved in clinical research and has served as primary or contributing investigator on multiple FDA sponsored clinical trials. He was Director of Minimally Invasive Therapies at Del Mar Vein Care, and now directs the Venous Treatment Center at North County Radiology-Oceanside. Dr. Gooding maintains a strong interest in the minimally invasive treatment of peripheral vascular disease, aortic aneurysm repair, and the endovascular management of acute stroke.
